I have slightly adjusted the brackets so that players can no longer meet for a second time in the fourth round of the second bracket, although it can still happen in the fifth or later rounds. The various advice I've been given about the Double Elimination format conflicts and for now I'm happy with how it stands. If someone would like to *specifically* offer an alternative, here's the php script displaying exactly how players progress:
