Well, another hard decision. I guess I shouldn't complain, because I'd rather face these hard decisions than have the easy decisions the Herd faces while sitting on the bar.
3/2*(2) seems obvious - put a second checker on the bar by shifting points. Then the question becomes whether to play 4/3(2) and open up the four point or leave the three point open with 16/15 7/6. The issue is the possible anchor - which is better - an anchor on the three or the four? An anchor on the four wins more games but fewer gammons (for me), but an anchor on the three wins more gammons but fewer games. I'm not sure what the ratio is, but I'll go for the gammons.
For one thing, 7/6 gives two builders to POH if the Herd enters on the three, while 4/3(2) only gives one.
3/2*(2) 7/6 16/15.
