Whack the blot.  I know that we don't have any builders in range, but the best winning chances are to keep him from anchoring.  As a bonus, hitting also increases our gammon chances.  His board is in  shambles, we have nothing to fear about being hit. Hit.  12/1*

Slotting the bar point is an interesting idea and worthy of a look.  But that play merely threatens to do something, the hit actually does something now.  "Bird in Hand" is not just a town in Pennsylvania.
