I don't know if there are any Second Lifers out there -- I just signed on yesterday (Second Life is a "massive multiplayer world," where people can go to events, gather in clubs and communities, etc. etc. -- www.secondlife.com. Basic membership is free.).
Here's the idea: would it be possible to have a FIBS area in the Second Life world -- FIBS members, dressed as their avatars, could enter the "clubhouse" and play FIBS backgammon, with live chat and even voice! I don't know if this is possible, and I certainly don't have a programming background of any kind, BUT -- it could be a LOT of fun, if somebody could figure out how to make it work. Whaddya think?
Good idea, as long as we can play ;)
Shouldn't we be encouraging some people to get a first life before getting a second?

I am already living in my third life and don't plan to go back to my second :whoea:

Actually, I probably should have said this in the original post, but FIBS is already my second life, and lobbying hard to become my first and only life.
Here's the Popular Science article that intrigued me enough to go have a look at Second Life:

SL is a darn cool place -- all it needs is something fun to do -- like FIBS!!
