The fascist's feelings of insecurity run so deep that he desperately needs a classification of some things as successful or superior and other things as failed or inferior. This also underlies the fascist's embracement of concepts like mental illness and IQ tests.  - R.J.V.

I will be interested to see what he does with this - I like the hit on the ace, which then kinda forces the other two to make the third point, but it is also tempting to move the checker off the 23. In that case, I wouldn't hit, because making the ace point alone seems a bit useless.  I shall wait and see  ;)

6/1 (2) hit, 8/3 (2).

The classic early 55.  Not pretty but not many options.  I could run with my checker on the 23 point..but then what?...i could then hit on the 1 point with nothing else or make my 3 point while leaving the 8.  Thats a possibilty  but the extra piece on the 13 is no good and hey..if the forum dances..maybe they'll drop my double....  About hitting lose on the 1 point with something like 13/8, 8/3 (2), 6/1 hit....why slot he one point when i can make it.  If I dont want to make it there is no real reason to hit now..its not a timing issue.  Plus hey feel free to take about my moves too.  Im seeing this as a learning experience and im interested in other's opinions also.  thanks,

It's not close... just put our backman up against a three point board, if that doesn't win most games, at least it wins a lot more gammons than any of the alternatives.

Oops, I looked. Now I must abstain from the vote. Might I suggest that these pre-cube evaluations be posted after any subsequent take/drop vote has been closed? ;)

Zorba

You can still vote, since these are the equities before we rolled our horrible 6-1 dancing roll!  :)

That misses the point that if I have information from GnuBg then I don't think I should vote, or change my vote if I've already voted.

I agree, I might change my vote according to the persuasive powers of other forum members, but once I have read what gnu says, I consider the moment to vote is passed  ;)  Having said which - yes, it was a bit of a booboo, Zorba is well in control here, he wouldn't post a gnu analysis until the decision was settled and the game moved on

and you can't change your vote once poll is closed, which is when any gnu type analysis takes place
