Title: Error
Post by: SoSoSo on January 10, 2009, 09:49:11 PM
Recently, I switched playing on FIBS from my iMac G3 to a MacBook.  Since then, I have noticed a glitch that interferes with gameplay.  When bearing off, CocoaFIBS makes you play the number on the first die first, then the number rolled on the second die, second.  It can stop you from playing your best.  Has anyone else noticed this; is there anything that can be done about it?

Yes, I noticed this. :(

It seems to be a bug that kicks-in when running CocoaFIBS on Intel processors.

The only workaround I have found is to resort to the command line if this bug stops me from making the move I want to make.

What do you type into the command line and is the command line what you use to speak to other players?

Can you not use javafibs for iMac G3 and MacBook?  Javafibs is superior to Cocoafibs I have been told by Mac users, so why don't you just switch clients?   ;)

The move command is here:

Yes Javafibs works on the Mac.  I should probably give it another go one day, but right now I still prefer CocoaFIBS... warts 'n' all.

I agree.  CocoaFIBS beats JavaFIBS.

Yea, and Mac users outnumber PC/windoze users. Gimme a break.
