welcome to this new area, mrs stog likes to play scrabble on facebook but i told her there were some competitive servers out there. where do you recommend?

www.isc.ro (http://www.isc.ro) for real time play.  A clunky interface which does not do well on the mac, but is workable. 

Since it is mrs stog and not just some random stranger, I would be happy to invite her to a private, elitist  ;) online scrabble club, where the standard is often quite high and absolutely no unpleasantness is tolerated.  pm an email address if she is interested.  That is a slower pace - the moves are played when you have chance to, so a game will last a few days, but it gives you longer to think about your play - and consequently improves your game.

There are many online scrabble games available which are compatible with the operating system? I have looked over places which allow playing scrabble, you can try playing here.
