Title: FibsCompanion

http://fibscompanion.sourceforge.net (http://fibscompanion.sourceforge.net) FIBS Companion
expands the user experience of FIBS by both extending the existing
functionality of FIBS clients, and by providing GUI's for the various
robots that extend FIBS services.

By itself, it does nothing other than provide a plugins easy access
to the fibs data stream and an easy way for their GUI's to launch,
without users. having to change whatever client they are using.

Its' main web page explains more about it, as well as containing
links to its' http://fibscompanion.sourceforge.net/guide.html (http://fibscompanion.sourceforge.net/guide.html) programming
guide and its http://sourceforge.net/projects/fibscompanion (http://sourceforge.net/projects/fibscompanion) development site.
It also contains the  http://fibscompanion.sourceforge.net/api/ (http://fibscompanion.sourceforge.net/api/) programmers API
documentation

Sometime this weekend I expect to release an alpha version which
will contain only an example plugin, called RepAlert. While not very
exciting, I thought it would be good to release an early version so
people who are interested would be able to get a look at it and perhaps
start coding plugins. There are many good ideas for plugins in the
"local proxy" thread.

The first real worthwhile plugin will be a GUI for TourneyBot, which
will be quite useful for the directors but also helpful for tourney
participants.

The diagram below shows how the fibs companion runs on your
computer, placing itself between fibs and your client, and managing
plugins.
