I would like FIBS players to be aware of an important and recent initiative in backgammon, the launch of the Backgammon Masters Awarding Body (BMAB) and affiliated tournament organising bodies which are springing up worldwide. The awarding body provides a framework of mastership titles and proficiency level certificates earned through sustained live, clocked and recorded performance, and in so doing promote Backgammon as a leading international mindsport.
