This is interesting. The old fc.o website that alef and I hosted on sf.net a while ago, and the domainname that apparently is still owned by alef, is acting sort of funny. Try this:

ping fibscommunity.org
PING fibscommunity.org (66.254.118.231) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 66.254.118.231: icmp_seq=0 ttl=48 time=57.8 ms

whois 66.254.118.231
[Querying whois.arin.net]
[Redirected to rwhois.reflected.net:4321]
[Querying rwhois.reflected.net]
[Unable to connect to remote host]

port 4321... a coincidence?  :)  ...or someone's sense of humor?
Maybe inim, donz or one of the other elite fibs h@korz can explain how that is done.

ping rwhois.reflected.net
PING padres.reflected.net (66.254.99.246) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from padres.reflected.net (66.254.99.246): icmp_seq=0 ttl=48 time=50.2 ms

http://reflected.net/ is a col-location service. I wonder which fibster is their client?

socksey accused me fo something, I am not sure what. She says that alef's post showed "last editted by burper" on it before she erased it. webrunner, check your logs. I say with every ounce of my credibility, it wasn't me ;)

What is left of the old fc.o site is at http://fibscompanion.sourceforge.net

diane

It did definately say that - I saw it too - but what does all this mean - and I know donz dont care enough to be involved - and inim - hmmm, I think not - so who are we left with??  ;)

For interest - this is how the post looked on the 12th of march.....(according to the wayback machine)

Ah yes, way back when I had the admin rights to edit others' posts. Now it makes sense, thanks.
So socksey, I'll be expecting my public apology next time we're both on fibs.

As for the dns hijacking stuff, I really don't care, just curious. If someone can explain it to me...
The 4321 port number gave me a chuckle, so I thanks whoever for that.

Thx, diane.  At least someone saw it.   ;)

If you aren't sure what I accused you of, then what should i apologize for?  Anyway, I don't mind saying I'm sorry.  So, sorry, burper, that I didn't notice when the edit was made.     Do you remember what it was you edited?

So, how did the repbot site get to be a porn site?   :o

Well, we can just chalk it all up to more socksey BS antics.
