A very tough play. I think we have to hit twice here, just to cut the  rolls where blitz makes his 21pt or 18pt. This may also buy us some time to run some men into more positive positions. Our advantage at present lies in that we do at least have some good points made even if they don't combine very well. We've got to stop him making some I think and the double hit is the best way to do it. I can't say I'm entirely confident of this though and bar/21, 8/4* is also a decent play.

If we're going to hit, we should hit twice. As long as we're hitting loose in our home board we might as well put a second checker on the roof. And the position favors an exchange of hits - we have a board and he doesn't.

What else is there?  We can shift from the 6 to the four and hit, but I don't like giving up the 6 point.  We can make the opponent's bar point, but that leads to a holding game and we can do better than that.  We can bring in another builder, (15/9) but without a checker on the bar it's more of a target than a builder.

Maybe I'm hanging on to the blitz theme long after it's gone stale, but I'll go for bar/23 8/4*/2*.

Well, I got to vote in that one, so I am not going to moan this time  ;) - but it isnt about swinging the vote..it is just about getting a look...without being influenced by the fact that he rolled what he rolled next...I totally take clems point about 'next', though - and so am a bit stuck with how to handle that.

0/2 gnubg rollout. It's a close one but double hit seems to be best.
