Spanish Fibs Meet-up

It would be nice to see some fibsters and their boards in sunny Spain, so entirely on my own initiative, I will organise a meet-up from the 16th to the 18th of April in Benalmadena. I have a nice hotel lined up 15 minutes from Malaga airport. Accomodation is in self contained apartments in a four star hotel on the beachfront. These apartments have twin beds in the bedroom and also a sofa bed in the living room. These are 158 euros for all three nights, interior rooms looking onto a patio or 198 with a view of sea or mountain and the room can be shared between two or three adults without extra cost. Breakfast is another 12 euros per night but again is for the room not per person and is very good. Apartments have a nice kitchen for those who want to make their own.
Cheap flights into Malaga come from all over Europe and the taxi from the airport is 15 euros max.

No there won't be a date change. Yes it is hot and sunny in Spain in April. Yes there will be a tournament, cheap to enter and cunningly geared to appeal to all standards. Yes, anybody is welcome.

In reply to several queries, there is no registration fee for this event, the hotel will supply us with a playing room for nothing.

Yes you will need to bring a board.

The earlier that you book your flights, the cheaper they will be. You can book the hotel online without paying a deposit, but please let me know when you have done so. Half board (bed, breakfast and evening meal) is available at an extra cost. Each apartment has its own kitchen and also the hotel kitchens do a variety of take-aways delivered direct to your apartment!

Well the reponse to this idea has been awful! I still want to do this, the venue is great, the sun will be hot, the flights are still cheap and we might even play some backgammon, so come on fibsters, get down here! Check the venue on http://sunsetbeachclub.com .
