I played a game the other night that went my opponents way through out but as the end approached this is how the board looked

my 23 and 24 points were stacked almost to breaking ( not a good start )  my  22 point and 12 point were covered with two checkers

I roll 6-3 and opt to hit was this the right decision

my opponent had one peace on my 23point  and  his side of the board was a 6 pint prime

my opponent countered with 4-6 hitting me from the bar.

I hope I have explained this so all can understand it

I pretty much need pictures to be able to think clearly about positions and moves...

Try taking a screenshot next time and post that.

If you have a good client like javafibs, you can scroll back through the match positions after a match [and before you start another one] to examine a position with hindsight.  Tat time is a good moment for screenshots.

Also, most modern clients save matches for exporting to a program which analyses matches - gnu is a free one.  That is the best way to get a quick and excellent answer to questions such as this one.

Check oput the gnu website for advice on how to download gnu for free, set it up, importing matches and analysing them - and of course playing against it in instructor mode to improve your game

[note - this link isn't working at the time of posting - try later if it isnt happening]

Can I also recommend playing the real time matches here...you can vote on moves, watch the discussions on moves, or take part if you have questions or better suggestions  ;)
