Thanks all - it was something else.
I really did my best here and blowed a few fuses trying to get out of the hopeless positions I had to play due to sick doubles - but all in vain.

Well, that was quite the exciting finish.  elmicho's final roll was a 55 to leave only two checkers on his ace point, and we needed big doubles to save the win (44,44,66).  We got the boxes to deliver the Coup de grâce.
