The draw for the semi-final stage took place today live on fibs and was carried out by aslengyel and maman_Eve, to whom much thanks for their expertise and charm.

Great Britain will play Czech Republic or USA
Finland will play Europe or Germany.

The last group matches should be completed very soon and then the semi-finals will begin. These will be 9 point matches, all play all. It is hoped that we can play these ties simultaneously, to engender atmosphere and spectator interest.

In a nail-biting dmp finish, Europe won their final match against France, to clinch Group A by a margin of one extra individual match won. Congratulations to Europe, a scratch team of a Dane, a Greek living in Germany and an Englishman who came together to fly the European flag. Hard luck Germany who, like Switzerland have two wins from the group but can go no further. We thank them for their friendly and very sporting participation in a highly competitive group and wish them better luck next time.
Switzerland 5 France 4
