Well, after r_monk moved 2-2, herd also rolled 2-2!! So three off the bar and a hit, 10/8*

Much as I don't like making a stack on the 4 point, I like the double shot even more. The other play only leaves a single shot one point away - that's no better odds than his chance of entering.  But a checker on the 17 has twice the chances of hitting (22/36 by my count)
