thirty_something and baby_something

all the recent pics of of Baby_Duck, Little_Shit, and others made me smile each time i looked at them and reminded me of how i felt when my children were born .. ironically, one of the few pics i have left is from one of those times .. most of my pictures and many other items of memorabilia were lost due to carelessness, moves, divorces, or floods but somehow this digital version survived and has been on my computer for years .. it was taken shortly after my son, Brian, was born in October of 1977 a few years after my very active days in the backgammon scene in Houston, Texas

my son and i are going through an estrangement of sorts right now similar to ones i went through with my father .. but hey, he is my son and i love him unconditionally nonetheless, as my father did me .. so, i completely understand and fondly remember the pride and joy each of my baby_somethings brought into my life .. now, i have grand_baby_somethings i've yet to meet .. time flies like a bullet, but memories are recalled in an instant .. now, eighty_something is telling me i'd best get busy making more memories
