Hi,

I d/ld the game 2 weeks ago and back then the website I d/l'd it from was talking about 2.2.288 for downloading, yet when I downloaded the game, I got 2.2.290?? Then I saw there was a version check button, so I clicked it and it says 2.2.291 is available and directs me to the site where I originally downloaded the game from??? Whats with all this?

Furthermore, the save game parsing is enourmously slow... I've got a P42.2 with 256MB DDR ... As far as I know its a pretty decent PC and I shouldnt have to wait for 15 minutes to parse a saved game. And whats the deal with downloading games and parsing them anyways?? There not mine!! How do I get rid of that? What does it do?

If you can help me with these I would appreciate it.

Sincerely,
KnightMare

The version that can be downloaded on this forum is the latest one.
It is version 2.2.292

I think the update check still uses the old download site as a reference.

When i see tucsonAZ (the creator of 3DFibs) i will tell him your problems and suggestions.

About the speed:
I am using 3dfibs on a PIII 667 with 196 Megs of RAM and it is working fine.
It is only slow when i am simutaniously am analyzing a match with gnubg.
And i haven't heard/read any other complains about the speed.
Are you sure that your machine isn't doing something else in the meanwhile.

Try to look at the taskmanager and see if there are processes that use a lot of CPU time.
Turning them of (be carefull !!) can improve 3Dfibs speed.

If this is not the case, there is something else wrong.
Send us some more information on OS, running software and services and try to install the latest version.

Hope this helps.
