Hi, I can save games but when I try to load them into GNU backgammon I get the following error : illegal character in SGF file. The file looks to be saved as a notepad file. I have checked the save game logs as JF.mat. Can anyone help please?!?

Hi, are you using the "Import" function of gnubg?
I suspect you are using "Open"... I tried to Open a jellyfish-formatted file and I got the same error you are reporting.

If it is so, you simply should use:
> File > Import > .mat match

Hope this helps
Ciao
