Hi everybody,

this problem occurs whatever the version, whatever the computer used (the 3 of mine are running under XP pro), it seems that i'm the only one to get this (?)

unless i uncheck the option in the preferences tab, that's normal, 3dfibs retrieves the html saved games list. When downloading is finished (i.e. "100 %"), whatever i click on, 3dfibs hangs. When i close the program, Windows error, sorry for the inconvenience, and on, please see image attached.

Then i restart, it doesn't retrieve anymore for the day being that's normal, and all's working fine

Any idea ?

I seem to remember someone with similar problem..unfortunately I cant remember exactly what caused it. If you have the same problem in 3 machines, maybe it could be something to do with security settings for automatically downloading files from the internet..

I would suggest deleting any list.htm list.html tmpsaved files from your 3dfibs folder.  Uncheck the "fast connect" option in preferences. If the problem only occurs when downloading saved games, you can always uncheck the download saved games option and manually download the file list.htm from fibs.com/savedgames maybe once a week if nothing else at least that is better than freeze and restart...

Thanks for reverting

Yes, there must be some particular constant to my machines, nevertheless downloading all kinds of files, except 3df sg lists, operates normally.

Anyway you're right, i'll uncheck and retrieve manually, it's that simple (i was just curious about this strange behavior...)

no, it should not hang thats true.. if you have tried the fixes I suggested, maybe look at the list.htm file. Does it look same as the page that was supposed to get downloaded? When you download files. do you have to click "ok" to continue? This should be automatic. Cant think of nothing else...
