I play with Mac & Parlor Play and I've never really figured out how to do much besides play backgammon. Once in a while I have a brief conversation with who I'm playing with but that's about it.

I think I have way too many saved games but I've never purposly dropped one in which I was sure to lose. I'm certain that in a very high percentage of my saved games I was ahead.

Can someone please tell me?

First of all, don't play with parlorplay any more.  Download Javafibs and use that to play with or 3DFibs.  Parlorplay is very hard to use as far as I can see and many think only droppers use it, so you may be getting some droppers that way.  Delfibs is new and looking promising.  You may like to try that one but I'm only sure Javafibs can be used for Mac.

Secondly, use Repbot to check out players reputations before you play them.  Try to resume matches that are saved.

Thirdly, don't leave a game under any circumstances whether you are winning or not.  Vouch to Repbot for players who lose to you for sure, and complain to Repbot to those who drop you for no apparent reason.  If you complain on someone and later find out you were mistaken, you can remove the complaint and vouch instead.

If you follow this pattern, you can't go far wrong.   ;)

To find your rep, the command is "tell repbot ask snowjake".  To find who complains or vouches for you, the command is "tell repbot list snowjake".  For other commands, "tell repbot help".

Oh, and when you see burper, be sure to thank him for creating Repbot.  Flawed as it may be by some of those who use it, it's still the best thing we have to thwart droppers.   :o
