I am interested in organizing a FIBS get-together somewhere in NYC in September of this year.

I was thinking maybe FRI_ SAT 9/18-19

FRI evening some dinner and Drinks..
SAT some BG and then SAT night more dinner and drinks,,

any suggested venue?

A September get together is fine with me. There are plenty of bars that rent rooms.

Could you make it the week before since this will conflict with the Jewish high holidays :-( Plus the fact that I'll be in NY the week before :-)

I would like to come but this ist just to near-term for me. If you want to give Europeans a chance to attend you should set up a date several months before. Don't want to stop the September gathering from happening ... however NYC would be the best place in the USA for an intercontinental gathering.
