Wow, this has turned out rather informative!! I knew there was a problem - and even vaguely understood it, but this has made it all much clearer!!

Hey Fergy.

How right you are.  I'd forgotton about that 140-limit on the who command.  Of course, you can bump any bot's ability to read the list to up to 280 by doing:


>    set sortwho rating
>    who
>    set sortwho rrating
>    who

I do maintain that you can achieve almost any effect you want with a GUI client and the FIBS telnet interface.
So many string dimensions, so little space time...
