Just wondering if there is any ay of connecting to FIBS from behind a firewall?

Yes, but I can control it :-) Basically, you have to be able to connect outgoing to port 4321. And if you don't have name resolution except for proxy based surfing, you should connect to the IP address of FIBS, not to the name.

U can use Parlorplay, which is a webclient and only uses port 80

Good idea webrunner but this may be a short-run solution. It can be a long-run solution if and only if parlorplay won't be banned in the future....
