In the United States we practice pigging out during the Thanksgiving weekend in preparation for the Christmas holidays.  I'd like to suggest a retrospective look at things to be thankful for.  The obvious items are good food and fair company, depending on how much family you have visiting and how much you like 'em.  I'm uncertain how the rest of the world views our Thanksgiving holiday, so I'll cite a couple of items I'm thankful for, here.

I'm thankful that I have a family that connects me to the world.  I may love or hate individual members of my family, or gradiations between love and hate.  I'm thankful for their company, even their existence.  Too many are missing.

I'm thankful that I know some people in this tiny world who make it a better place.  I have things to learn from people like that.

I could go on and on, but this is a board oriented to BackGammon.  I'm thankful for the friends I've made in the last 12 years on FIBS, and I wish the very-best to those who don't consider themselves my friends.

May all of you have an excellent if fattening, dinner, and something to be thankful for in your own lives.  If you live in a country that doesn't recognize Thanksgiving, I offer you hospitality and good thoughts from a person who lives in a land that sets aside a holiday for giving thanks.

Don , that is sweet

One of the reason i came to fibs was because of you.
Hearing on other gammon sites that if anyone needed a good laugh was to come to fibs. Watch you and NIHL and HG and biggles go at it :)

Keep up the good entertainment .

best wishes Vic
