Tomorrow Sunday, Souptree of the USA takes on jelly and PlasticMillion of the Czech Rep. in the matches that will decide Group B. These are scheduled for 1900 UTC. If the USA win one of these, they qualify, while Czech Rep. need to win both. The winners meet Great Britain in the semi-final. Meanwhile the other semi is already under way and Finland v. Europe stands at 1-1.

Group B finally resolved itself today when USA2 completed a 6-3 victory over the Czech Republic to go through to the semi-finals where they now play Great Britain. We have to thank the Czech Republic for their friendly and sporting play and a great showing in a very strong group. Better luck next time!

The reporting and, to an extent, the progress of the semi-finals has been a little held up as dorbel moves back to the UK, but I can report that Finland lead Europe 3-2 and USA lead GB 1-0.

Great Britain have defeated USA2 to reach the final. Congratulations to them of course and commiserations to USA2, for whom nothing went right in this match. We thank them however for their sporting and friendly participation and wish them better luck next time. GB now meet either Finland or Europe in the final. Finland lead 4-2 in their semi-final match. As soon as this result is known, we will set a date for the final and hopefully all the matches can be played simultaneously.
