Gtk Look And Feel Under Jdk 1.6.0?
«

Hello all. Currently, it looks like the only Look and Feel options that JavaFIBS2001 provides are Metal, CDE, Windows, and Aqua. Has anyone figured out a way to configure the app to use the built-in GTK Look and Feel under Linux, especially under the 1.6.0 JDK?
Thanks!

Supported "Look and Feel" names are hardcoded in javafibs. See
this thread
. What is the (technical) name of the L&F you want to be supported?

Checked my zoo of JDK versions, seems the GTK look and feel is in Java since 1.4.2 (i.e. 1.4.1 and before did not have it). Easy to verify, just check out the SwingSet2 demo main file in
$JAVA_HOME/demo/jfc/SwingSet2/src/SwingSet2.java
. So supporting it would benefit all GTK based GUIs, not only 1.6.0.
