Tampa Bay Backgammon Club will host 2010 Sunshine State Regional Backgammon Tournament on Jan 15-17th in Tarpon Springs.

Here are the events Saturday and Sunday

Open (EF $250, 90% return) 11-point double elimination matches. 2 places paid.
Optional $100 side pool (100% return).

Advanced (EF $100, 85% return) 9-point double elimination matches. 2 places paid.
Optional $50 side pool (100% return).

Novice (EF $30, 80% return) 7-point double elimination matches. 2 places paid.

Amateur (EF $70, 80% return) 9-point double elimination matches. 2 places paid.

Side Pools: They will be paid at 100% return going to the two players who go the furthest in the event (2/3 to the 1st and 1/3 to the 2nd.

4 man Blitz Tournament (EF $40, 80% return)
5-point single elimination matches. Players are drawn into groups of four. Winner of each group wins $60 and a spot in the Sunday Finals. Finals are single-elimination, winner-take-all.

Calcutta Auction (90% return) Calcutta auction for Open and Advanced players.

After-Tourney Tournament (80% return) Single-elimination, 7-point matches. Players must be eliminated from all events to enter.
