Hi ZVamp_dad,
This is a good idea, which I've also contemplated about. The biggest problem though, is that people would need to have both clients installed and be ready to play at both sites. I have the impression that players on FIBS hardly also play at the Zone (and vice versa?).
Also mind that FIBS has a lot of non-MS users.
A few Zone related questions:
Do you use the Microsoft client that comes with Windows for the Zone or is there something else? When I tried it once I was horrified and left immediately. After finishing the match.

I've heard that the MS Zone client is subject to cheating. (No, not the usual accusations, but serious design flaws in the software, since the client generates the dice, not the server.) How do you deal with this in a tournament environment?
Well, having said this, I'd like to see this going.
I organise the
FIBS Team League and the
GammonLeague Live Tournament (possibly more in future) on
GammonLeague. Players only need to report their match results, the rest is automatic. Perhaps it's possible that I extend it so that non-Fibs players can register, too.
