Question: GnuBg's Temperature Maps
What are they?
I looked but don't understand
I've seen them. So what?
I look at a temperature map occasionally.
I use them when I'm stuck as to why the best move is best.
I use them regularly.
Love 'em. It's a brilliant feature.
They're great but could do so much more.

What do you think of GnuBg's Temperature Map facility? If you could post more about your use of them, that would be interesting.

Maybe I'm just an amateur, but I've never consulted the temperature graphics even when playing against gnu.  A useless tool in my opinion.

I use them rarely in some double decicions when I disagree with gnu. It gives quickly impression what is the equity after every possible roll. And it is easy to compare the equitys after each roll if i doubled or not. I sometimes also roll the different numbers and do analyzes with gnu but temparature map is for quick answer what is going to happen next.
