when I click on connect with my 98 laptop, I get the following error message:

The program (3DFIBS) had performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If problem persists contact the program vendor.

i can't get beyond this point...

I've split this thread into two forums:
Original thread asking for 3dFiBs help (http://www.fibsboard.com/index.php?showtopic=297)
New thread on Macs vs Windows (http://www.fibsboard.com/index.php?showtopic=301)

Here is the relevent section from webrunner's post:
QuoteTo Sheawrite:
I know 3DFibs is especially compatible with Windows 9x. TucsonAZ even creates and tests it on a Windows 95 machine!
I myself have run it on all Windows flavours and it always runs like a dream.
That tells me spomething else is wrong...
Could you give us some more information on the error you are getting?
