tucson, I'd like to ask you if it's possible for me to develop a chouettebot gui from a 3dfibs base. I would sign an NDA. All I want to do is the chouettebot mod.
What is the programming environment for 3dfibs? C++? windows? Can it be done using MINGW etc...?

3dfibs is written in Visual Basic 5.0
I am open to any suggestions on how to incorporate new fibs features into it.
QuoteUmm, OK. So here is an idea of some of the things you would want to add to customize it for ChouetteBot:
Ã, Ã, - Button to join the chouette, enter chouette "mode"
Ã, Ã, - exit the chouette, return to normal mode
Ã, Ã, - display all players, and queued waiting list
Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, - maybe use the players window for this, as that isn't very useful during games anyway
Ã, Ã, - display current score for all players, both accumulated and in current game.
Ã, Ã, - display all players cubes (values and owners)
Ã, Ã, - show timers for move/double etc...
Ã, Ã, - don't display other players kibitzed commands in kibitz window
Ã, Ã, - show team move suggestions either
Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, - as separate boards
Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, Ã, - as arrows on the main board, possibly with colors
Ã, Ã, - maybe provide a 1-click means to accept or vote on a teammates suggested move
If you are ever actually thinking of implementing this, let me know and I can provide more details and maybe some drawings of what I am picturing.
I am working on some other projects at the moment so I cannot promise anything anytime soon with 3dfibs... I will try my best to make new fibs features easier to use [ If I happen to be using them myself :-) ]
