Title: FIBS unplugged
Post by: Bakersfield on June 20, 2005, 03:06:01 AM
I recently "upgraded" from FIBS trouble-free version 2.2.300 on my old laptop computer (using Windows XP) to FIBS 3.0.15 for my new desktop computer (Windows 2000).  Now I can't connect to the server.  The error message says "Socket is not connected."  What does it mean?  How do I fix it?

Somebody please help me.

I want my MTV!!!

I got rid of the error message by tweaking my new firewall which was set to block FIBS.  :P

Now when I click on "Connect" it says "Validating.." but nothing happens.  I also tried clicking on "Guest" but got "There was an error attempting to telnet into FIBS.com port 4321."

Should I switch back to the old FIBS version?

I have also a problem, but it is worse. I can not even run the program because it requests some files.
I extracted it onto the old directory and it did not work either
I uninstalled the previous version, reinstalled the new and did not work either
I copied the files it asked for and no way.

So, I decided to keep my old 2.2.306 that works perfectly.
