If it's not clear, the clue's in calling it a bluff! ;)

This one's fun, not so much for the analysis, which is fairly obvious but for what it teaches about cube handling.

Needing 3 to win with a stong likelihood that when he does win it will be with a gammon, 60 is getting poor value from a cube here.

It's completely the opposite on Sarah's side of the table as she needs 4 points to win and if she hits a shot, or gets multi shots at an open blot, her recube will be perfectly valued.

Tho gnubg obv won't think much of a cube here I cant actually call it a bad cube as many weaker players would not recognise how efficient a take would be here and would be bluffed out of a point. The trouble is Sarah's hardly a weak player - and bluffs tend not to work on the Swiss anyway!

You can find some general guide in early cube action against different anchors from here. http://winningbackgammon.info/backgame-advanced-strategy

4-3 is a lot stronger then some might think.
