Title: Bearing Off Rules
Post by: nabla on August 08, 2006, 05:34:00 PM
Hello FIBSers,

Sorry to bring here a basic rule question, but I could not set this one 100% straight by reading the rules :
If I am left with one checker on my 4-point and one checker on my 2-point while my opponent has two (or more) checkers on my 1-point, what do I play with a 3-3 roll ? From the wording of the rules how I read them, it seems that I have to pass and cannot bear off the checker on my 2-point. Am I correct ?

Hopefully I will have a more interesting question next time !

You are correct. Playing a 3 from the 4-point is blocked. And playing a 3 from the 2-point would only be allowed, if no other checkers were on the higher numbers. Therfore you can't move at all with 33 in this case.
