Is there a better or worse way to play this double? Anything else you would like to consider?

14-6 leaves us vulnerable if we then get 6s, so why give him that chance? I've plumped for the safer 14-12, 10-4.

14/12 10/4 would have been my play - it keeps the Herd even ended and you can't have too many checkers on the four point for the bear off.
