Well, we have two men back, no anchor, and White in a position to attack. We can't afford to leave the mid and strand our stragglers in enemy territory, and we certainly can't afford easy targets like a man on 18, or pointless shots deep in our board. That leaves 13/1*(2) - the purists might not like making the ace so early but it's safe, puts White in the air and leaves us well positioned after a dance.
