Post by: ah_clem on January 22, 2010, 01:24:51 AM
we rolled a 6-5 and I nexted entering (forced) and making our bar point.

Per his request, Blitzxz has a cube decision.  Double or roll?

Well, that was just about best roll forum could have rolled. So I'll wait for a roll or two. No double.

13/8. I can't see any serious choices. And I thought I was going win this game. Too early apparently.

Hmmm. I would've played the safer 13/11 6/3.  It's a pay-now or pay-later decision, so opting to pay now when we have no board may be the right choice.

Anyway, it looks about even to me. You're way ahead in the race with a four-point board, while we own two points in your board, have a mini-blockade on our side, but no board to speak of.    We'll see what happens....

Move from the back, don't burn checkers and try to keep things flexible. That's the guibe line in these kind of positions. I don't see reason to pile my checkers to awkward position if don't absolutely have to.
