Clear from the rear.  9/3 9/5.   We don't want to bury a checker on the two point by playing both checkers off the eight and we don't want to abandon the bar point by playing off the seven.  Slotting the 3 may allow us to reestablish the prime next turn, and if we're hit he's still got two checkers stuck behind a blockade.
