Title: League Matches
Post by: TartanAXDave on February 10, 2005, 12:12:21 AM
I'm new to al of this - but, I learn the rules as best I can, and I make a point of posting imediately if I lose a League match.

It's being discussed by emails that there is a problem with one player who is not posting. Question of whether deliberate or a problem with his/her software.

Whatever, it seems this player is entered in 2 different League categories, and has not posted in either. Nor does the player now respond to emails sent asking what the problem might be.

It's a shame that league table results are held up in this manner - and the whole thing might collapse, if we do not have conclusion.

Any thoughts?

Hi,
I'v made the same experience in the last season. As I do have very little time at the moment I was not amused by not having those points. It just got me near dropping out of the league, which I still consider. There are lots of "honest" and polite players in the league, but just playing a match I can set my state to ready on fibs and play them there...

Well, I've now received an email from the player, who has tried both posting and confirming, having won one and lost one game in the league.
To cut the story short - the player has 'unsubscribed' - so I lose my points for the game I won 13-2, and call it experience.
I agree that perhaps the hassle of organising the games times etc is maybe not worth the hassle of playing in a league.
