Group A: Ratings 1100-1500

Congratulations to Mrbord and Sticks for their great final and i hope more people will join group b next time  

After a lot of questions about the results of group A, I decided to post the point reward rule. This system is similar to fridays3, but many people ask me why the difference between the winner and runner up was only 2 points instead of 4. This happened because mrbond took a "bye" in the first round.

According to http://fibsleagammon.free.fr/tfridays3.htm In each tourney, points will be rewarded like this (16 players bracket): Winner:12 points, finalist 8 points and other players will get 2 points for each win. In 32 players bracket, Winner:14 points, finalist 10 points and other players will get 2 points for each win.

According to http://fibsleagammon.free.fr/Rating_Championship_2005.htm In each tourney, points will be rewarded like this: all players will get 2 points for EACH WIN and the two finalist will get EXTRA bonuses. The winner +4 and the runner up +2.

So, as mrbond took a ââ,¬Å"byeââ,¬Â in the first round, he played 1 match less than sticks. Consequently, he lost 2 points. The main difference between the two systems above is that ââ,¬Å"byeââ,¬Â plays important role in the second one and no role in the first one.

As I said above with a "bye", you lose 2 points but with a "forfeit" of your opponent you don't lose these points. Tds used the command "award win" in order to advance you to the next round, so it counts as a win and you get that 2 points. That's why Zakasax took  2 points more.
