hi there,
iÃ,´m playing fibs since one year and never had big problems. but now, i wanted to try another client.
but since i chanched my client from 3dfibs to java fibs i wasnÃ,´t able to log in on java fibs with my old account "molke". :blink: yesterday i made a new account and now im not able to log in as "molke" with 3dfibs.
java fibs tells me, when i try:
*** Trying to connect to fibs.com...
*** Connected to fibs.com.

You have probably typed in your password wrong when you tried to login. That is what happens in JavaFIBS when you do. You need to be careful with upper and lower case characters. Are you really sure you know what password you had on 3Dfibs? One year is a long time and it's easy to forget passwords if you don't have to type them in regularily.
unfortunately im very sure about my password. 3 days is not such a long time..
for me the "molke"-account seems to be restricted - maybe because i had to drop a few games because my connection is so unstable, or because i made a 2nd account. anybody knows something about that? :huh:
i want to keep my old account -_- , i have some experience and i like this name.

Neither of the reasons you stated should be cause for rejection. It must be something else.

...another hint:
try the login without the fibs-client. entertelnet fibs.com 4321from the command line. enter the account name and the password. if you can connect like that, it *is* a client problem.

with telnet i cant login too, good idea to try.
who manages the accounts? i think, i have to ask him/her..

Usually, behind business firewalls, a connection with port 4321 would not be possible. What's the error you got, if you try to connect with telnet?
At work, with closed port 4321 I got the following message:
>telnet fibs.com 4321
Verbindungsaufbau zu fibs.com...
Es konnte keine Verbindung hergestellt werden mit Host auf Port 4321 : Verbinden fehlgeschlagen
with telnet i can connect to fibs. when i try to login with "molke" i have to type it 3 times and than i have to raed "access denied". nothing more.
with my new account i can login with telnet without problems.
the firewall is not the problem.
when i try in javafibs i get the message:
