Oh well... here it is
better late then never.

I think I should receive a FIBSie award, at least in this environment.  I have attempted to make polite suggestions which, after flames, were almost universally adopted.  I have spoken up honestly and with little support while others could do nothing but whine and insult.  The results of my actions, while chaotic, are better than the original smug little environment of the smug little clique which naively seeks to reform FIBS into its own barren little playground.

Of course, one of the main reasons I should receive a FIBSie award is reflected in the previous two posts.  I tend to stick to the facts, and others tend to insult.

And since the rules of the fibsie state you cannot nominate yourself, you have little chance of getting one.  Oh wait - perhaps your protege could nominate you..... that would be fun to watch - heck, i might even vote for you - without your help i would never have properly figured out my interface.

But....in fact.. you asked for them in your post here.
It is not only a big flame but i consider it a personal attack to me and all the moderators on this forum and the current nominees.
You claim that "your actions" should get you a nomination for a fibsie award.
That is an outrage to me since you are initiator of a lot of the problems that we had in the near past, in my opinion.

This is off topic anyway.
I have warned you more then enough times to not post flames anymore.

Congratulations.
After being banned on Fibs, you are the first person to banned on Fibsboard.

I've known don for going on 5 or 6 years now, and I really only have a few comments to make.  

For the entire time I've known don, his one true goal has been to make others the problem for his very serious psychological problem.  He started doing his martyr routine almost from the very beginning, trying to convince others how incredibly perfect he really was, and how we were all the ones with the problem.  He's taken his act from FIBS, to RGB (rec.games.backgammon) and finally to this board.  Because he doesn't realize the severity of his problem, he continues to make himself a nuisance everywhere he goes, with the results being long-term bans on FIBS, incessant ranting on RGB, and now a ban here on fibsboard.

I think we all need to realize this individual for the very sick person he is and take a different tact.  Instead of feeding his martyrdom and fulfilling his desire as victim, we simply choose to ignore every post, every shout and every utterance he makes from now on.  He might begin to see that his problem doesn't originate from the outside, but from within.

NIHI and biggles aren't his enemy.........Patti isn't his enemy.......Tournament Directors aren't his enemy.....RGB posters aren't his enemy.....Fibsboard posters aren't his enemy.........

The only enemy don has to fight is the one inside himself. We're not doing him (or ourselves) any favors by feeding his need for victimization.   It's time to help him, by ceasing to respond to him at all, and perhaps over time, he'll realize and deal with his problem.

Think about it.

As i said - i try - there are many attacks where you will notice it took me ages to respond, or i didnt - but eventually - like the dripping tap, it gets to you!!  What can i say - i am human

Actually he played such a small part in the problems that occurred as to be not worth mentioning.  Do not give him ideas that he succeeded in his goals, when in fact it was almost nothing to do with him.  Him you can deal with, it is all the other actors in this great drama that actually got things going nicely.
