FIBS Board backgammon forum

i suspect we all, especially those of us who play in FIBS tourneys, enjoy following tournaments in any game or sport that use brackets .. one of my favorite bracket tournaments is ongoing and about to shift into its final form .. no, it isn't the World Cup .. it is the NCAA Mens Baseball College World Series .. whether you are a baseball fan or not, spend a few minutes to check out the brackets here: 2010 CWS (http://www.ncaa.com/brackets/2010/ncaa_bracket_DI_baseball.html) .. now, notice how you can drill down by double clicking and see details at each round of the tourney .. prettty cool, imho

the CWS is actually a fairly complicated tourney .. it took me years to understand the brackets .. i've never really seen the whole picture before this example, one of the coolest interactive displays of standings for a bracket tourney i have ever run across and one of the best ways to understand why the 8 teams that make it to Omaha for the final double eleimination round are so excited just to get there

now, has anyone got a good link to World Cup brackets? others?

btw, i'm pulling for the underdog in the CWS - the TCU Horned Frogs who upset the number two seed Texas Longhorns .. Go Frogs!!!
