I've initiated the FIBS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Internet_Backgammon_Server_%28F.I.B.S.%29) article at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org). Much of the information was culled from the FIBS FAQ at FIBS.com. Please feel free to update the article with whatever cited source information you would like to contribute.

If someone could add a fair use screenshot of the opening scroll of FIBS, that would be most excellent.
