Hi doggy,
Quote... when i tried to connect to realfibs ...
you probably want to connect to FIBS and lost your FIBS-password?! Realfibs is just an interface and as far as I know, it does not require a seperate password.

Its impossible to recover a FIBS-password. So you can either create a new account or wait until the doggy-account is deleted from FIBS (takes around 6 months). Then you can create this account again, generating a new password, and

remembering it!!!!

Sorry for the bad news.

On the plus side - you have unlimited goes at rememebering it - so you could keep trying for the next 6 months...

Really - there is no way to recover them - so next time - write it down.  ;)

Hi,

a few seconds ago another solution came into my mind: Patti can ban users, and she should also be able to totally delete them?! So you might ask her to delete your account. Perhaps she can help. After getting deleted, you could create the new account immediately. Patti's mail address is: pattib@mauve.rahul.net. It might be worth a try.

I really hope that Patti will not grant such a request since it means i can ask her to delete "my account socksey" if you catch my drift... <_<

He really is quite devious at times, isnt he  :P  That would not have occurred to me!  But a good thing it was pointed out I suppose - cos if he can think of it - I am sure there are others who would too.

To forgetful Windows users i recommend PINs (http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/pins.html)  for storing passwords.  Freeware, very small (about 700kb) and it even runs from a USB stick. You only have to remember one "master password".
It has helped me out on several occasions!

BTW, the Yahtzee program for PALM OS (Yahdice (http://www.mirekw.com/palm/index.html)) from the same author is even better!

Good luck

It is not me who is devious. That is 8 years experience of managing website communities and forums talking. People have tried worse than that. I even had members registering under names like "admin" or "webmaster". Can you imagine what the effect was when they posted or send a PM to someone?

Not me.. but humans in general are devious  <_<

That is ( i think) the main problem with implementing password recovery on Fibs. Since nothing like email address or any other data is saved, there is no way of knowing who is trying to "recover" the password.
