does anyone knows how it is possible that the gammon bots on fibs are so incredible fast?
my experience with a decent computer and software like gnu, snowie, bgblitz is that these programs all need much more time to calculate there moves. so how is it possible that the fibs bots are so fast even though you have the additional web/online lag?
The gammonbots are basically gnu playing 2-ply. gnu is very fast - almost immediate - in that mode. Rollouts take longer, but the gammonbots do not make their moves based on rollout.
