Poll
Question:
Who has the best sense of humor on Fibs?
Option 1: don
votes: 4
Option 2: repbot
votes: 19
A very serious attempt to cheer repbot up.
and for those puzzled by my motto I quote an intelligent fibster:
Gusssss
Quotehttp://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/floccinaucinihilipilification
*cough*
the ablism is self explanatory.
(Sorry if anyone's upset by me using a (very) long word and I particularly apologise to any non-english speakers present)
And these footnotes to my motto now mean that I'll never need to change it again - superb!
I guess it will be obvious when don has voted ;)
I guess it's obvious why diane isn't considered, though I think it would be nice if she somehow acquired a sense of humor. Hmm, or is it humour where she comes from?
By the way, I know what flocci, nihili, and pilifi mean, don't know what pocci means.
Quotedon't know what pocci means.
Dont they all mean nothing???.....
And yes - it was originally, and still is here, spelled 'humour' - but you decided to make it easier on yourselves :P. We prefer the challenge :D
Dont worry don, we know you like to be the joke rather than making the jokes, even when you aren't ^_^
To make it easier for don - I have added in some question marks - that way he knows a question when he sees it ;)
ROFL. According to GOOGLE:
QuoteNo definitions of pocci were found in English
Definitions of pocci on the Web in German:
Franz Graf von Pocci (* 7. März 1807 in München; ââ,¬Â 5. Juli 1876 ebenda) war Zeichner, Radierer, Schriftsteller und Musiker.
de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pocci
Before you make a further fool of yourself, diane, you
might try looking
at the link, http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/floccinaucinihilipilification (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/floccinaucinihilipilification) , provided by spielberg. How can you even think I lack a sense of humor when I take such pleasure in your logic and bon mots?
Awaiting your usual
last word,
--
don
I should soooooo not bother - but hey...
Didnt I ask a question, rather than state a fact???
(Being as how the humour is in the fact that it is a set of words which all mean 'nothing', more or less, strung together, a logical assumption is that they ALL mean 'nothing'). But rather than just state it as a fact, since the rather simple task of following that link didnt reveal an answer, nor did a superficial search - I asked the question.
Now, to help you find the joke/pun - if the word doesnt exist - then it means 'nothing' - there, is that easier
Awaiting your last banal word.....but dont count on me reading it ;)
now *this* is what fibsboard was meant for.
more please!! you two are the best
Awww - thanks - I try - but he just keeps resorting to personal insults - which make it all a bit dull .... :D
I guess he is the kind of person who pulls a chair away as a person is about to sit down and thinks that is the height of subtle humour... ;)
diane, I really do feel sorry for you in a sort of shadenfreude sense of the term. It amuses me that not only do you think I am starting something here,

.. but that you think I have a habit of starting things. I really got a chuckle when burper started flames on another thread here, you chimed in, I commented, got amusingly editted, burper's comments received a slightly different treatment, and you came out smelling like a rose (rotted for those in the know).
Out of curiousity, diane, since you seem to be into starting flames, can you, do you read?

Don,
You seem to have a very blurred concept of flaming. Diane's comment was indeed clearly to anyone humour and not a flame.
I guess this kind of shows why the poll was started in the first place.
QuoteDon,

Yes, indeed. And if you want a clear concept of "flaming," come to fibs any Thursday night and take a look at Shuggie.
MmmmmmmmOOOKIE!
Dear diane and burper:
I don't intend to blur the concept of flaming, which you two know so well. All I refer to is causality. Do the math.

don
webbie, i don't think dons' habitual incitement of flamewars is very healthy for fibsboard.
good god, and i thought i was a bit thick headed....
he is amazing, aint he?
Here's a simple observation:

I think if you look at
this topic you will find I didn't start anything remotely resembling insults, and in fact if you examine
almost all threads here, you will find the same. Meanwhile, I'm chuckling....

Actually, i think it draws viewers, kinda like a freak show <_<

Ahh, now I understand why you tolerate the freak.
But does a large number of freak viewers really equate to forum health?
