Legendary backgammon player Michel Natanzon (known as "Falafel") has past away yesterday.
He was 51 years old and died from brain cancer.
Falafel was world best backgammon player twice, at 2007 and 2011.
I could'nt find an English article so here is a Hebrew one:

F.I.B.S. general support / Re: Reversing the dice

I'm not quite sure what you mean by reversing the dice.  Do you mean play the lower number first?
With FIBzilla you right click on the checker you want to move with the lowest number.
As for the difference between kibitz and whisper, when you kibitz if anyone is watching you play they will see it.
If you whisper, only your opponent will see it.
Hope this was of some help.

F.I.B.S. general support / Reversing the dice
Last post by Ilan - June 15, 2019, 12:58:41 PM
Hi to all,
I expect these questions have been asked many times before, so apologies in advance.

How can I reverse the dice on FIBS? My interface is the old 3DFiBs (other interfaces didn't work on my Windows 10).

Also what is the difference between "kibbitz" and "whisper".

Thanks,

Ilan

If you use the FIBzilla client, you can play offline against the computer.

It has been 10-15 years since I competed on FIBS.  Is there a way to ply solo (by my self) in order to refresh my memory as to "how" to make all the moves?

Backgammon problems / Re: Bundalongadorbel

The theme of whether to cash this sort of position or play on is for each situation difficult to answer. In the event that I don't know I regularly twofold at any rate, putting a point on the score sheet that I don't have to win with incredible play, yet.
