This one was a classic bob , i was watching resh play and he did not make his 5 11/5 6/1 and i said after that fact .. resh that will cost you not making that 5 .  guy goes and complains to Patti and Tom . that i am helping resh . come on everyone knows resh is beyond help . )

Vic table talk is one of your strongest tools you use in backgammon play, you do it ALL the time to unnerve your opponent.
And that can be part of the game, but as a SPECTATOR it is not RIGHT!

Nothing explicit that I'm aware of between the players in a match.  Usually banter between the players is acceptable.  Watchers are allowed a greeting and then should whisper.  A player may blind or gag  a watcher at his option by your rule.  In this case we are discussing a player commenting about a possible future roll. 

I really liked the idea you had to only allow whispering by watchers as a built in code by you.  That would eliminate some of the problems we encounter during tournaments.  I think I remember you mentioned doing that somewhere here or in Fibs shouts a while back.

You have it pretty much right. A watcher kibitzing at all is highly frowned upon.
Be it commenting on the weather, the size of the mole on some body part or
comments about the match in progress.

In this case, it was a player talking to a watcher.  Perhaps the wording could be more specific in this rule, if we want to go that far and forbid kibitzing during a match, although I think perhaps Patti had the right idea to just keep the kibitz out of games by watchers.  Many players enjoy banter along with the play and IMHO, it should be at the players option.  One of the posted rules says be quiet or be gagged/blinded, doesn't it?  But, I think that only applies to watchers.  Am I right? 

The game in question when vic was banned was in his own game with diddywhat.  It was just before his last roll, and had nothing to do with advice.  It was just a simple question/comment about what the next roll might be.  At least, this is my understanding of what occurred from the first post in this thread and with discussion with vic.

Now dont get bent out of shape xx it is not word for word , but i think you might agree the just of it is right on . besides you are not alone .

So people get the  right info , here is what was said in that match with 4 people watching .. even the TD KMA .
It was the last roll and i roll a dlb its over . Even the playing diddywhat has told me what was done is bogus .

I don't understand this debate. No one has control over the dice rolls and everyone wishes for the roll that they need. This seems like an unjust case of banishment in my opinion.

If you don't want any chatter between players in tourneys then remove the chat factor. This is suppose to be for fun not drama. Can't we all just get along, be adults and play nice?

Now, I am done and will let this run and run without further input - it really, really is old news and way past its sell by date.

all she did was give me a ban in tell and gagged me . so who ever posted that on my comment knows Jack......T!!

and again i will say cubing when you are over match point does not move the dice .

yes KMA is a nice person and i am a villan bad bad . its not about who is nice and who is bad .

Dice do not move with your cube after match point no matter what pck might think ) , besides i did not cube so i did not take his advice )
